Next-Generation Glulam
This is X-Beam: the industry's first full framing-width stock glulam in architectural appearance. Departing from the conventions of business-as-usual, X-Beam is ushering in a new era of efficiency and convenience. For our customers, that means no more extra time spent shimming on the jobsite to match standard framing material, and one set of SKUs for exposed and concealed applications, which simplifies the process from lumberyard to jobsite.
Stock Glulam with Full-Framing Width and Architectural Appearance
Now that X-Beam has solved the sizing issue, this Next-Generation Glulam signifies the premier option in engineered wood. Our entire stock of 4x and 6x is now offered in full-width and Architectural appearance, which combined with the inherent attributes of glulam, translates to a range of benefits for Rosboro customers:
- Less expensive than other engineered-wood products
- Attractive Architectural Appearance
- Lighter weight than other engineered wood
- Single-piece installation
- Hardware compatibility
- Drilling within liberal guidelines
- Full width for continuous and interior bearing
- Wet-use adhesives

There are no 3/8" gaps to fill or hardware incompatibilities, just an attractive glulam with seamless fit, increased drilling options and greater strength. That's right, X-Beam's greater widths and wood volume equate to increased load-carrying capacity (up to +12% for 3 1/2" and +7% for 5 1/2").
