 Rosboro's 1.8E IJC is the ideal glulam beam for I-joist floor systems and other conventional framing applications. Manufactured and engineered to match standard I-joist depths, 1.8E IJC can be used seamlessly with other applications, such as headers where high strength is not an issue. It's also available in common depths of 9", 9-1/2", 11-7/8", 14", 16" and 18", making it the builder's choice for I-joist floor systems. 1.8E IJC is available in the standard wall-framing width 3-1/2", eliminating the need for shimming. Easy Installation and Safe Delivery With a balanced lay-up, this 24F beam has no top or bottom and is a good choice for either multiple span or cantilever applications. Lightweight makes it is easy for the builder to handle and install. This beam is also kiln-dried, creating a dimensionally stable beam that resists surface checking and splitting. Available in Framing Appearance 1.8E IJC is manufactured to the APA EWS Framing Appearance Standard and is intended for use in framing applications in which appearance is not critical. To ensure proper width tolerances, the beam is touch-sanded or planed after gluing. Because less wood is removed from the unfinished beam, the framing appearance standard allows more irregularities than either the APA EWS Architectural or Industrial Appearance Standard.
