Rosboro Forest Lands

Rosboro owns and operates one of the largest private tree farm systems in the Pacific Northwest. Our guiding principle is to manage our lands for sustainability over the long-term, optimize timber production, and maintain the environmental health of the forest. Careful stewardship guarantees that Rosboro will have a stable, managed timber base well into the future.

We achieve this balance through a careful program of forest management, using the most advanced science and technology available. From the state-of-the-art geographical information system (GIS) to sophisticated mapping and analysis software, we have access to strategic information to make informed decisions regarding management of our lands.

Our timberlands are concentrated in the highly productive forests of Western Oregon, strategically located near our operating facilities in Oregon's Willamette Valley. Rosboro also sources timber from the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Bureau of Land Management, Oregon Department of Forestry, Washington Department of Natural Resources, local counties and private timberland owners.

Rosboro is proud to be a participant in the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). This initiative is a set of principles that integrates the perpetual growing and harvesting of trees with the protection of wildlife, plants, soil, and water quality. Our stewardship of the land includes prompt reforestation, prudent use of forest chemicals, protection of special sites, enhancement of wildlife habitat, and contributions to biodiversity. We also educate the public about the practice of sustainable forestry, protect water quality, support improvements in wood utilization, and minimize the visual impacts of harvesting. As a participant in SFI, we are called upon to meet market demands while ensuring the future of our nation's forests by using environmentally responsible practices.
